In this workshop, participants will explore the power of collaborative art as a vehicle for expression, communication, and teamwork through an SEL lens. Through a series of engaging activities and discussions, you will learn practical skills on how to execute a large, collaborative art project for your school incorporating your student body. We will go over mural making, mosaic, and collaborative weaving techniques, as well as address educator’s ideas for their own dream collaborative school project.
The workshop will cover the following topics: Strategies for fostering a collaborative mindset in the classroom Techniques for guiding students through the collaborative art-making process Incorporating technology and digital tools into collaborative projects Addressing challenges and conflicts that may arise during collaboration Brainstorming out educator’s ideas for collaborative art projects to execute in their schools
