Artist Professional Development Opportunity – Friday, April 29th, 10am-3pm
The Arts Exchange: A Young Audiences Learning Community is back this spring! Our next gathering will be held on Friday, April 29th at the Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility (www.bancroft.org), the first N.J. Department of Education approved private school within a pediatric specialized-care facility. For the past two years, Young Audiences teaching artist Marilyn Keating has worked with Bancroft’s medically fragile and technology dependent student population through a Young Audiences Arts Education Scholarship. This event will be a great opportunity for you to learn about working with this unique population and to work on your own lesson plan with assistance from Marilyn and school staff. Select artists who participate in this training will also have the opportunity to implement their lesson with students at Bancroft with Marilyn’s assistance. Lessons can be implemented through the summer.
