Storytelling & Literacy
Artist: Queen Nur
Type: Workshops / Residencies
Description
Students tell stories in the oral tradition with Queen Nur using hands-on exercises that engage voice, tone, facial expression, and body movement. They learn the structural and performance elements of storytelling while collaborating with classmates to create group stories. A multi-day residency enriches the students’ experience through deeper connections with the Language Arts standards as students rewrite and perform fairy tales, folktales, myths, historical tales, or legends based on a selected theme.
