  • Student holding a spoon puppet

How do you support literacy and writing skills through theatre & puppetry? In Storytelling and Puppetry, students learn to create found objects using simple household materials. Participants are guided through the process of character creation, beginning puppetry manipulation skills and will collaborate with a master teaching artist to make puppet shows come to life! Shows can be based on curriculum being exposed in class, on a favorite story, or a theme. Renata Townsend will work in collaboration with the school and the classroom teacher to meet their goals.
