Description

Engaging, educational, and entertaining, this introduction to world mythology introduces students to the excite and mystery of world mythology. Accompanied by an immersive soundscape that helps tell the stories, set the mood, and create dynamic environments, this program features three myths from three different ancient cultures: “How Atum Made the World” from Egypt, “How Thor Got His Hammer” from the Norse, and perhaps the most famous myth of all, the amazing tale of “Jason and the Argonauts” from Greece. In addition, students learn about the many words and ideas that have come into our language from ancient mythology. Soundscape created by Adriano Shaplin.

Performer arrives approximately 1 hour before performance. Performer brings own sound system and needs access to power. In elementary schools, shows are usually performed on the same level as audience (gym or multipurpose space), with students seated on floor in a semicircle and teachers in chairs. In middle schools, an auditorium is an acceptable alternative. If performance is in a gym or multipurpose space, please wait until performer arrives before setting up any chairs. Performer will guide the setup process.
