Felt Making
Artist: Gabrielle Kanter
Type: Workshops / Residencies
Description
The process of felting has been around since the beginning of civilization and was used to create the oldest type of textile known to mankind. Using colorful wool fibers to “paint” designs and images along with water, soap and friction students will learn how the “wet felting” process tangles and merges layers of loose wool into one flat, beautiful piece of fabric.
