Being Mythic
Description
Students will create an I Am Poem that reveals their inner mythic being. In the writing of the poem, they will also explore their roots and mythologies of their own cultures. The students will write their own poems while engaging with one of the first poems that was spoken in the ancient bardic tradition. This poem allows poet Eloise Bruce to share her Gaelic heritage and encourage the students to do their own personal exploration of their personal histories and declare themselves heroes and heroines.
