Gabrielle KanterArt Form(s):
In teaching, I bring my own multi-faceted art-making experience and open-minded approach. I encourage discovery and individual expression. My own pursuits in the field of art have equipped me to bring value into children’s lives through art and art projects. From my own childhood experience through art, I have benefited from the confidence I was encouraged to feel at an early age in my ability to reach goals throughout the years. This confidence has been a cornerstone that I try to impart to every student I teach.
Gabrielle Kanter earned her BFA from the University of the Arts and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has worked professionally as an artist and art educator for the past 15 years. Prior to moving to Stockton, NJ, in 2004, she lived in the Philadelphia area, where she taught at area art universities. Gabrielle’s artwork was awarded a PA Council on the Arts Fellowship, has been featured in national publications, and has been exhibited extensively in invitational exhibitions at galleries, museums, and public facilities both locally and throughout the country. Presently, Gabrielle is a studio artist and director of The Arts, an art education center where her studio is located.
